It seems strange asking a question on a forum I'm staff on but...

I have a box running Mandrake 8.2 and I want it to act like a firewall & router for my network. It has 2 network cards (one for the internet, one for the LAN) both working with Linux (the drivers loaded correctly).

How can I configure it so my windows machines on the LAN can connect to the net through this Linux machine? I know a fair amount about DHCP, gateways, etc but I can't figure out where to set these settings.

mandrake has some handy wizards for all this. Its been a while, but I believe its all in the mandake control center.
Then theres a program called 'linuxconf' which has all the controls for users, networking and bridging you need to complete the network. Basically have a play, You are probably about to play foul to one of my other complaints (unless its been fixed in 8.2) and that is linux conf, and mandrake control center dont seem to talk to each other (at least, control center never seemed to update when I made configuration changes in linux conf).
