minibrowser looks great - and it's only 33k zipped up!

ive actually been under the impression that this "minibrowser" would let you browse servers within the ltktbm client itself, didnt realize it was seperate from aq2.exe. but oh well, this is still pretty cool.

slacker -- your argument could be made to support wallhacks by just changing a couple words:

"which makes me think of a new point.. there is another BAD point of playing without wallhacks. solid walls allow camping/hiding - people can sit down with a mp5/kevlar around a corner and wait for someone to stumble around, who wouldnt have a clue about them being there."

And it DOES make maps look like crap. What's the point in adding lighting to a map if everyone's going to play it in essentially fullbright? As a mapper, this really frustrates me.

mSparks: You might consider using gamma corrected lightmaps like I have in Paintball2 and get rid of the horrible gl_modulate completely.

Anyway, I think pure servers would be a good idea, especially for matches. You might also do some checksums/md5's on models and stuff as well.
