i just installed the full installer and the hud icon and crosshairs seem to appear and disappear at random. its really strange. any ideas?

btw... everything else seems to be working great. i'm surprised since i didn't buy this thing w/ gaming in mind ;)

nope.. happened again. the whole screen seems to flash for an instant and then the crosshair and icons disappear. i have screenshots of the missing icons but not the flash (way too quick)

<a href='http://www.bleedingchaos.net/tbm/misc/MATRIX2.jpg' target='_blank'>Matrix2.jpg</a>

also, while taking screenshots i noticed the numbering thing is broken. each screenshot over-writes the previous one for that map

ok Ive got a feeling I know what it could be, Ill have to do a debugging session w/ you sometime soon. just out of interest, try fiddling with some of the settings in your card control panel. see if anything in there makes a difference.

I just found the cause for the 'spots' in the explosions, it was caused by having alpha blending set to 'sharper'
