sorry for the late reply, but i cant find the time (or space) to install my own LTKTBM AQ2 install (which takes up 600+MB - i only have 500 MB left). i only have a 4 GB HDD and one huge game is now taking up a good majority of it.

i will post here when i get around it.

the missions were probably done for kicks and testing purposes. i do recall seeing objectives somewhere though (probably in the game or in the scripts themselves). i havent reinstalled AQ2 yet but the last time i checked the mission for the map "city" is to rescue the main mugger or something and th...

i think i read something about that trem.wav in nine2 on the AQ2 boards. the error seems to be the author's fault (look at the slash in how the map searches for it).

i began to ponder this may be good for maps with missions. i guess the fog option wouldnt be that bad. if the rules there will be followed that is: ⋅ it's fully configurable - pick the type of fog, fog density, fog color and define your default and per map preferences ⋅ the bot A...

as far as i know, fog ideas were scrapped because they lag servers.

besides, from what ive seen fog only made things tad clearer (when you see an enemy its sort of like seeing a figure, so youll fire it up anyway)

the way i see it, that is your problem. the gl_ext_pointparameter variable (as far as i know) tells Q2 if the particles are either software controlled (0 - flexible as they said) or done through hardware (1 - limited manipulation). by particles i mean the explosions, the blood that splurts out of yo...

i meant the size of the splats. they're very big, and always the same size. wouldn't it look better and more realistic if e.g. minor damage = small splat, big damage = big splat? not sure if that's easy to do, or impossible though.. just an idea :) i should have said i'm coming from the old AQ2, wh...

i found AQ2 back in 2001, ditched it because it has no good bots (and i find CGF a little unstable on my end).

im basically a botgamer. to me, any mp game without bots means "recycle bin"

RiviEr wrote: i get around 7 fps on a 1.4 ghz.

Strange is that the fps dont change when i sellect 1024 or lowest. Or the value of the bits.

-RiviEr

thats strange, i get 10 fps on 640x480 windowed and 16-bit color (8-bit seems to give me lower framerate)

all on a 300Mhz machine???
